Simply Delicious Salad in a Jar

Ingredients (in order of layering into jar)

Dressing (vinaigrette, yogurt based)

Whole Grains (quinoa, couscous, barley, brown rice, pasta)

Veggies (cucumbers, tomatoes, beets, carrots, bell peppers)

Fruit (apples, mandarin oranges, kiwi, berries, pomegranate)

Protein (boiled egg, cubed chicken, chickpeas, firm tofu, beans)

Extras (nuts, seeds, cheese, basil, cilantro, parsley, avocado)

Leafy Greens (baby kale, spinach, spring mix, arugula, romaine)



Choose a salad dressing and drizzle it into the bottom of a clean jar. Then, add an item or two from each of the ingredient categories above. Don’t be afraid to squish as much leafy greens as possible before closing the lid. Just before eating, pour the salad into a large bowl or plate. The pouring motion is usually enough to toss the dressing into the salad so it’s completely ready to eat with all the fixings. Serve with a glass of water for a clean and refreshing meal, any time of the day.
